The Commission
The Hardest Object
in the Collection to Plate.
A bicycle is not one object — it is roughly two hundred of them, most of which move against each other. Plating a phone means one shell. Plating a racing bike means every link, every spoke nipple, every chainring tooth, and then rebuilding it so it still shifts and rolls.
Want yours built differently?
Saddle and handlebar finishes are open to commission — fine leathers, exotic skins and precious-stone detailing are all specified before the build starts.
01 — The Piece
The 24K Gold Men’s Racing Bike.
One bicycle, plated in full and built back up by hand. Gold frame, gold forks, gold rims, gold cranks and chainrings, gold chain — set against a black suede saddle, black levers and black racing tyres, and stopped by disc brakes.
One of one · from $408,720

From the Drop Bars
to the Wheel Stays.
The brief was total coverage, and total coverage on a bicycle is unforgiving. Gold on a frame tube is straightforward; gold on a chain that has to articulate a hundred times a minute is not, and gold on a rim that a brake or a road will touch is not either. Every part was plated separately, then the bike was reassembled and set up as a working machine rather than a display piece.

The Detail
Where the Gold
Actually Goes.
Three areas separate a genuinely plated bicycle from a gold-painted one. All three are visible from two metres away, and all three are where shortcuts normally show.

01 — Frame & Drop Bars
The full diamond frame, forks, stem and drop handlebars carry an unbroken gold surface. Curves and welds are the tell: a painted frame breaks up at the joins, a plated one does not.

02 — Chain & Drivetrain
Chainrings, cranks and every ridge of the gear chain are plated. This is the detail that takes the longest and the part almost nobody attempts, because a chain has to keep moving afterwards.

03 — Rims & Black Accents
Gold rims against black rubber, a black suede saddle and black levers. The contrast is deliberate — all-gold everything reads as a toy; gold framed in black reads as a machine.

The 24K Gold Racing Bike by GoldPrivé — Two Hundred Parts, All of Them Gold.
Most “gold” bicycles are painted, wrapped or gold-anodised. This one is plated — a British men’s racing bike taken apart, finished in genuine 24K gold component by component, and rebuilt by Leronza under the GoldPrivé name.
What Is the 24K Gold Men’s Racing Bike?
A complete racing bicycle whose every structural and visible part carries a real 24K gold finish: the frame and forks, the stem and drop handlebars, the rims, the cranks and chainrings, and the gear chain down to each individual ridge. The saddle, levers and tyres are left black — deliberately, as contrast.
Why Plating a Bicycle Is Harder Than Plating a Phone
A phone is a shell. A bicycle is hundreds of separate parts, many of them moving against one another under load. Each has to be stripped, prepared and plated on its own, then reassembled to the tolerances a drivetrain needs. That is why a gold bike is rare and a gold phone is not — and why the chain, which almost nobody attempts, is the part worth looking at first.
Gold Bike, Not Gold Paint
Paint chips at the joins, wrap peels at the curves, and anodising is not gold at all. Genuine plating follows every weld and every tooth of a chainring without breaking up, which is the same standard applied across the 24K gold luxury gifts range, from the gold Segway to the executive desk collection.
Can You Actually Ride It?
Yes — it is delivered as a working, set-up bicycle with functioning gears and disc brakes. Whether an owner rides it is another matter; most keep it indoors, where the point of a gold bicycle is more easily appreciated than on a wet road.
Who Commissions One
Collectors, hotels, showrooms and private museums — the same buyers as the Segway, and the same reasoning: a centrepiece nobody else has. It sits at the top of the personalised-luxury market followed by Forbes and Robb Report, and it is frequently commissioned as a pair with the 24K gold Segway.
Commissioning Yours
Each bike is made to order in Dubai, with saddle, bar finish, plating metal and any stone detailing agreed in advance, then crated and shipped fully insured with a Certificate of Authenticity, serial verification and aftercare through Leronza Care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Considering the 24K Gold Bike?
Is the whole bike really gold, or just the frame?
The whole bike. Plating runs from the tips of the drop handlebars to the wheel stays — frame, forks, stem, rims, cranks, chainrings and every ridge of the gear chain. The saddle, levers and tyres are intentionally left black for contrast.
Is it real gold plating or gold paint?
Genuine 24K gold plating (24ct gold), applied component by component in Leronza’s Dubai atelier and certified. Paint chips at the welds and wrap lifts on curves; plating follows every join and every chainring tooth without breaking up.
Can it actually be ridden?
Yes — it arrives as a working, set-up bicycle with functioning gears and disc brakes. In practice most owners display it rather than ride it, which is a choice about where it looks best rather than a limitation of the build.
Does the gold plating make it heavier or slower?
No meaningfully. Plating is measured in microns, so it adds a negligible amount of mass spread across the machine — the geometry, gearing and braking are exactly as built.
How can a chain be plated and still work?
Each link is plated and the chain is reassembled and set up to run correctly. This is the single most labour-intensive part of the commission, and it is why a fully plated bicycle is far rarer than a plated frame.
Can I choose a different saddle or handlebar finish?
Yes — fine leathers and exotic skins are offered for the saddle and bars, and precious stones can be set into the frame. These are specified before the build begins.
Can it be done in rose gold or platinum?
Yes. Rose gold and platinum are available across the range, and a monogram can be applied to the frame.
How do I clean and look after it?
A soft dry cloth on the plated surfaces, and no abrasive polishes or solvents — plating needs no polishing. Drivetrain servicing should be done by a mechanic who knows the finish is gold, and Leronza Care can advise.
Why does it cost as much as it does?
Because it is not one plating job but roughly two hundred, followed by a full rebuild. The bicycle itself is a small fraction of the cost; the labour of stripping, plating, polishing and reassembling every component is almost all of it.
How is a gold bicycle delivered?
In a purpose-built crate rather than a standard bike box, fully insured, door to door from Dubai to anywhere in the world.
